So, to do this, there is only one way, and that is “Clear and Start Over” now, you may think that it will delete your data, no it will not. The best thing this process will neither delete your account nor affect your data (previous year returns). However, the information that you have entered will be at risk, and this is the only thing that gets deleted. 

So this means you have to start from scratch again if you use the clear and start over feature. You have to enter all your information and details again along with all your tax information, now this can be a hectic process, but this is the only way.

 

  • Go to your online TurboTax account and head over to the “My Account” option.
  • Here you will get the “Clear & Start Over” option.
  • Select it, and then you will be taken to the beginning of your return, here you need to re-enter all the details.
